Brad Sumner
Pastor Brad loves both the church and the community. He is the Lead Pastor whose primary responsibilities are preaching, overseeing worship, and leading the staff and volunteer teams that make JRCC such a great place to belong to.
He and a fabulous group of people launched Jericho Ridge in 2005 after having been on staff at North Langley Community Church for 7 years and having obtained his MA in Church Ministries from ACTS. His passion is to see people take the next steps in their faith journey and risk and love more than comfortable suburban types normally do.
Brad is married to Meghan and they have two wonderful kids, Jared and Sophie, with whom he loves to wrestle, read stories and generally goof around with. His other hobbies include running, kayaking, coffee consumpton, and accepting friend requests on Facebook.com, where he also posts the occasional family photo. Keith Reed
Pastor Keith completed his MA in Christian Studies from ACTS and joined the pastoral staff team in June 2007. As the Associate Pastor, Keith's primary responsibilites are in the areas of discipleship, pastoral care, and pastoral administration. His favourite part of his role is seeing the joyful transformation of people as they devote themselves to following Jesus.
Some of his favourite activities include playing sports, caring for his beloved plants, reading, and playing board games. As a Washington state native, he takes the victories and defeats of the Huskies, Seahawks and Mariners quite personally. The world of sports has not often been kind to him.
Keith, his wife Melissa, and their son Hudson, live in Clayton Heights. They are still adjusting to the recent birth of their son, but they love being parents. The Reeds enjoy playing competitive Jeopardy! together, going on walks, and carving out time for extra sleep.
Ruth Ellen Crossley
Ruth Ellen joined the staff team in May 2009 as the Children's Ministry Director. Native to San Jose, CA, Ruth Ellen came to Langley to study at Trinity Western University. Ruth Ellen and her husband Jared began attending JRCC shortly before they were married in the summer of 2008. Since then, they have been engaged in a number of ministry areas.
Ruth Ellen's inviting enthusiasm, creative talents, and love for the church have provided the Kids @ the Ridge program with great strength and ingenuity.
Jon Mair
As our Administration Coordinator, Jon is the glue that keeps this ship floating! With multi-disciplinary experience in accounting and theology (a rare combination indeed!), Jon always gets it done in an efficient and inspiring way (complete with his infecious laughter).
Jon completed his Master of Divinity at ACTS in April 2009 and has already begun working on a Master of Theological Studies. Besides reading textbooks (his personal library is always growing), he enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies at the Clova, and baking.
