A PLACE FOR WOMEN
The heart of JRCC’s women’s ministry is to do life together – fostering real relationships that will draw us closer to one another and closer to our God. Hercommunity is a place for women to develop and grow into all that God created women to be. It is a place of laughter, a place of comfort, a place of friendship, a place of spiritual hunger, a place where openness and authenticity are affirmed, and a place where the worth and significance of each woman is celebrated.
herconnecting
Our weekly herconnecting group will begin their spring session on March 26, 2010 and conclude on May 21. The group will gather together every Friday from 9:30 - 11:00 AM for a morning conversation. The spring study will be based on the book Do You Think I'm Beautiful? by Angela Thomas. Childcare and refreshments are available each week. The registration cost for the study is $30, which includes the series' workbook. If you would like childcare (optional), the registration cost is $40. Registration will begin on Sunday, March 21.
All group gatherings will be hosted in the multipurpose rooms on the 4th floor of the Langley Events Centre (7888 200th Street).
Please contact Meg Sumner for more information or to be added to the email distribution list.
hernurturing
We honour new mothers at JRCC with a community baby shower after their child has been born. These showers are scheduled every six months or so. The showers include a light tea, games, and gift openings. You can register for the baby shower by buying a ticket for just $15, which includes a gift for each new mother.
Our next baby shower is scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, May 30. Tickets for the shower will be available for purchase at the Welcome Centre on Sunday mornings beginning in early May. For more information, please contact Ali Kooger.
