Advent Conspiracy
Jericho Ridge Teaching Series: Nov 29 - Dec 24, 2009

The story of Christ’s birth is a story of promise, hope, and a revolutionary love. So, what happened?! What was once a time to celebrate the birth of a Saviour has somehow turned into a season of stress, traffic jams, and shopping lists. And when it’s all over, many of us are left with presents to return, looming debt that will take months to pay off, and this empty feeling of missed purpose. Is this really what we want out of Christmas?

What if Christmas became a world-changing event again? What if instead of spending all of our energy buying presents this year, we focused on giving presence? Welcome to the conspiracy.

The concept behind Advent Conspiracy is regaining the power of the Christmas story. The concept of the vision is simple: worship fully, spend less, give more, love all.

Advent Conspiracy was started in 2006 by five pastors who decided to make Christmas a revolutionary event by encouraging their faith communities to recapture the power of the Christmas story. The concept is simple: worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all.

Advent Conspiracy was JRCC's Christmas 2009 teaching focus (Nov 29-Dec 24). Check out www.adventconspiracy.org to find out how Christmas can [still] change the world.

In partnership with Advent Conspiracy, JRCC created our own Gift Guide to help you choose ways that you can invest in kingdom-building projects as a gift choice this year. The difference could mean a life.
